The incident, which took place just before 5.30pm on Monday September 20, occurred near the beach huts on South Parade opposite Richmond Avenue. Police received a 999 call from the woman. She was out walking her own dog along the seafront when she was bitten by what she described as a small black border collie type dog which was not on a lead, and suffered puncture wounds to her skin. Police are keen to find the owner of the dog, described as a white lady, in her early 60s, heavily built, wearing a grey woolly hat with her hair tucked into the hat. She had on blue leggings and a thigh length, fleecy coat, colour unknown. In recent weeks there have been a number of dog attacks in the local area and this is the second reported attack by an unleashed dog along Bexhill Seafront.
