Whittingham: Pompey gave it everything

Guy Whittingham felt Pompey gave their all despite going down to a 2-0 home loss to Notts County.

The Blues put in a much-improved display at Fratton Park and were unlucky to end up empty-handed after two late goals.

The defeat took their winless run to 16 matches.

But caretaker boss Whittingham praised his players and Pompey’s fans for their spirit throughout the clash.

He said: ‘The lads gave their all.
