St Leonards racer on track at Silverstone

A motorcycle racer from St Leonards overcame a serious mechanical failure to perform well in a prestigious event at Silverstone.

Despite suffering a major engine blow up during testing on the Tuesday preceding the race, Doc Rogers from The Bikers Shop in Western Road secured a creditable top 20 finish in the Production 600 class Race of the Year at Silverstone.

The Production 600 class of the Classic Racing Motorcycle Club (CRMC) Championship is one of the most competitive classes in the country, with many of the top 15 competitors being ex-national level riders and champions.
