WORTHING Raiders Rugby Club kick-off their National 1 campaign away to Wharfedale on Saturday.

The Roundstone Lane club’s long-awaited debut in the third tier of English rugby will see them playing at the highest-ever level any club in Sussex has ever played.

Raiders face a 600-mile round trip to the Yorkshire Dales-based side who are the joint-longest members of National 1.
